November will be filled with rich opportunities for self-expression. In tune with this year's global themes and the spectrum from victim-hood to personal responsibility, November will ask you to express your truth, especially in areas where you feel shame and need support.
It’s an extremely potent month to break through the real or perceived barriers you have surrounding money, financial decisions, networking, being lucky and in the right place at the right time. As we travel through Scorpio season while Mercury is retrograde it’s time to dig into the deep feelings, old stories and family patterns that come up around money and abundance.
Questions to journal and meditate on, or discuss with a friend or partner this month:
1. What am I afraid of losing if I open the door to more abundance? (eg. my integrity, grounding, the glory of being a starving artist/scrappy start-up, my friends/family/partner, freedom, doing things in my own time, etc.)
2. What do I think I will be FORCED TO DO if I start earning more money? (eg. work harder, lose my right to complain, dress better, lose weight/work out, pay for others/share my wealth, be nicer, be more visible/become a hermit, hide my income, move somewhere else, pay more bills/taxes, etc.)
3. What will people say and think of me if I become rich(er)?
Start digging into your answers to these questions. Look for the stories and experiences in your life and surroundings that have enforced these beliefs. Go as far back as you can into the dynamics of your parents and family.
See if you can find the words and sayings that were used to describe ‘rich’ and ‘poor’ people and their decisions around money while you were growing up. See how this has shaped your behavior and thoughts when it comes to money and how it comes to you.
If you heard your loved ones use the phrases: ‘more money than sense’, ‘rich people problems’, ‘filthy rich’, ‘money is the root of all evil’ etc. Chances are that even though you want to experience more flow in your financial life there is a layer of shame and confusion to release. We all have money stories that hold us back, no matter if you’re unemployed or on track for a record-breaking income year and hire a second housekeeper.
Look at the people around you and listen in on how they talk about money. Are they expressing the same values and limitations as your upbringing, if not how do they differ? Do your friends or partner go through feast and famine cycles that trigger your own money stories in turn? Do you judge them for how they spend or save their money? You can use the questions above to go through the stories of the people around you too.
Now, what do you do with the information you uncover? First off all take it as a confirmation that we all have financial stuff and stories to work on. Each expansion in your income level will trigger some of these stories and if there are shame and confusion connected to them it will have to be dealt with. Or you will self-sabotage to come back to safety.
EFT is hugely effective to tap through the emotions and patterns that come up. While I encourage you to tap through Brad Yates’s videos, persistent patterns will require you to find a great practitioner to work 1:1 with. Find that person and schedule a session.
As Mercury is in retrograde for much of this month the global vibration supports good financial custodianship and fixing the holes in your life that drain money and energy from you.
IDEAS: Go through your accounts and cancel any subscriptions that you don’t use, be it the gym, magazine, or a streaming platform. Pay off your smallest debt and call your credit card company to get them to reduce your interest rate. If you have a savings goal, change the name of your savings account to reflect the goal. Make a budget for the rest of the year with enough room to breathe and enjoy the flow you already have in your life. Get anything broken or UN-fixable out of your home. Make a gratitude list of what money makes possible for you today.
Brace yourself for the black Friday/Cyber Monday sales and season of gifting by getting clear on the businesses you want to support with your money and what kind of gifts you truly love gifting.
Maybe this is the year of gifting shared experiences and fewer things if you’re looking to make new memories with your family and friends. Update your wish list and share it so people know what to get you.
Here are a couple of excellent books on money and mindset that can help you further:

As we move into Sagittarius season at the end of the month go through old paperwork and shred or burn the old to make space for the new.
If a name change has been on your mind this is an excellent time to work on your vibrational patterns on a deeper level. A name change unlocks flow on all levels in your life.
