This forecast got put pushed way to the side as over the last few weeks I’ve been finishing up A Little Bit of Angel Numbers (more on that below!), discussing the cover for it and have a bunch of lovely people book sessions. I know we’re halfway through the month but I thought you’d still like to know what energies, themes and lessons this month holds.
April is a month of creativity and expression this year. We have inspiration and sensitivity being highlighted equally and should protect our personal muses, creative rooms and the fertility of our wombs fiercely.
If there were an archetype to embody this month it would be The Unapologetic Artist. We all have an inner artist - even if we don’t think we live creative lives or have a career centered around creativity. Your inner artist might be wounded, rejected, or bitter. Even if you are flourishing as a creative you could have put limits on your expression and have fears about being too much.
If you're in a creative slump right now, see if some old stories and thought patterns need some attention and release. Maybe you think what you bring to the table is undervalued or hard to get paid for compared to other more tangible things. Maybe you have a ‘broke artist’ story or block and have ignored the joy and energy that comes from pursuing your passions.
Your inner artist could be more recognizable as your inner healer or mystic. If those terms resonate more with you, then the blocks coming up could have to do with safety, ridicule and responsibility.
You could journal and reflect on the ideas and words that pop up when you try to step fully into your own artistry. Maybe they are stories about wasting money and time. Maybe they come with judgments and labels like: scattered, flighty, ungrounded, dismissible, unimportant, dependent on outside help or crazy.
One of the themes coming up this month is the balance between work and play, creation and rest. If you have been in a creation and hustle mode for a while, April will force you to acknowledge the need for sleep, relaxation and taking things at a way slower pace. Sustainability should be the focus if you are building new habits or changing old ones. Listen to your body and don't let its messages go unheard.
It's a great month to be discerning about the projects, ideas and goals that truly fuel you and the ones that end up being distractions and lead you to procrastinate on your dreams. Imagine yourself in December of 2023, looking back at the year. What projects, ideas and relationships have you nurtured and seen grow? What things were distractions and procrastination mills?
There is a theme in April of seeing through illusions. Both the ones that other people are trying to uphold around us and our own disillusioned outlooks. If you have become jaded, cynical or hide behind sarcasm, then this month will offer you moments of vulnerability or people who call you out on the stories you tell the world about yourself.

Mercury is going retrograde on April 21-May 15 and this one feels extra confusing and poignant. Your ideas of belonging could come up for revision and while I don't see a lot of full-on course corrections, your motivations might shift and influence your goals. If big shifts are going on, then some mourning and letting go of old personas and friendships could be coming up.
